What's the best place in the area to raise a family? See how your hometown stacked up.
Montgomery County residents that decided to raise a family nearby should be pretty happy.
Eight of the Philly area’s top ten ”Best Suburbs for Families” are in Montgomery County, according to real estate-listicle website Movato.
Criteria analyzed included the quality of schools, the safety of neighborhood streets, and the ranking of the homes for sale in the area by a Movato real estate expert.

Chester County’s Devon and Berwyn took the top two spots, but were followed by eight Montco towns. Here’s the full list:

- Fort Washington
- Blue Bell
- Audubon
- Ardmore

- Plymouth-Meeting
- Oreland
