Bites Nearby: 3 Men & a Bagel
The eatery that offers a taste of classic New York opens a second location on Cedar Crest Boulevard in Salisbury Township.
Where I come from, delis with fresh bagels are a dime a dozen. Here, you have to go on a bit of a hunt. Lucky for Allentowners, their search just got a little shorter. 3 Men & A Bagel has opened a second location at Cedar Crest Professional Park, across the street from.
And I’ll tell ya, as a Bethlehem-er, I was thinking that my first trip to 3 Men & A Bagel would be my last, but having tasted many mediocre bagels locally, I now have to say I just may have to make the drive weekly.
The eatery is definitely more deli than brunch spot – they are not equipped with a fry station, so their eggs are microwaved – but their featured sandwiches are spectacular.

The “3 Men Special” is among the top sellers and with good reason. The sandwich features Boar’s Head maple turkey (or ham, if you prefer), with melted Swiss, bacon, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing. Get it on a homemade everything bagel and you might as well have died and gone to deli heaven.
For a meatier treat, order the Cheddarella Melt, a melt made with Boar’s Head roast beef, mozzarella, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. For this creation, may we recommend 3 Men’s homemade kaiser roll, which brings it to the next level.

You may notice a theme here. Anyone can buy Boar’s Head meat. It's the restaurant’s bakery skills that make this classic deli worth the trip. These talents are showcased well not only in their breads but in their pastry case.
Black and white cookies are must for any deli worth their salt, and 3 Men’s boggled my mind. The cookie was light and fluffy and lemony and everything it should be.
Also not to be missed: The muffins. Moist. Rich. Delicious. The turnovers are also quite yum, but be advised, the dough is more like a croissant rather than traditional pastry.
In all, 3 Men is a hopping lunch spot that we hope will continue to flourish. Next stop: Bethlehem! (Pretty please?)
