LVHN Names New Chief Financial Officer
Ed O'Dea, who has worked at Lehigh Valley Health Network for 21 years, was named its CFO.

Ed O'Dea has been named the new chief financial officer at , the company announced today. O'Dea has served as interim CFO since September 2011 after Joseph G. Felkner resigned after serving nearly two years in the position.
OβDea will develop LVHNβs financial direction and oversight of all fiscal responsibilities.
βEdβs skilled and thoughtful leadership approach made him the top choice after a national search,β said Ron Swinfard, MD, LVHNβs president and chief executive officer said in a news statement.

OβDea joined the health network in 1991 and served as controller, then vice president of finance prior to becoming .

Over the years, heβs actively participated in LVHNβs financial strategy and led the health networkβs treasury functions, according to the news statement. He also helped to co-lead the health networkβs move of nearly 1,000 administrative colleagues into the former Mack Trucks World Headquarters in south Allentown starting in August 2010.
OβDea is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to joining LVHN, OβDea served as assistant controller and accounting manager at Ametek Corporation, a senior cost accountant at Honeywell Corporation and a senior and staff accountant at Perdue Farms.
OβDea earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA in Finance from St. Josephβs University.
