PennDOT Offers Online Service for Duplicate Licenses, ID Cards
You can now order a Pa. driver's license online if yours is lost lost or stolen.

Pennsylvania residentsΒ can now order a duplicate non-commercial driverβs license orΒ photoΒ identification card online if theirs is lost or stolen.
No additional fees are charged for online transactions. Customers applyingΒ forΒ a duplicate license or photo ID card online must provide their driver'sΒ licenseΒ or ID card number, last four digits of their Social Security number andΒ date ofΒ birth in order to complete the transaction.
A $13.50 fee for the duplicateΒ driver's license or photo ID card will be charged to the customer's creditΒ cardΒ for the new product. The fee for a duplicate driver's license with a classΒ MΒ (motorcycle) is $18.50.
Customers applying for a duplicate driver's license online can print aΒ temporary Internet copy of their license to use until their new photoΒ licenseΒ arrives in the mail. The temporary license is valid for 15 days.
Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven daysΒ aΒ week and include:
- Driverβs license
- Photo ID
- VehicleΒ registrationΒ renewals
- Driver-history services
- Changes of address
- VehicleΒ registration restoration letters
- Driver exam scheduling
