Salisbury Boys Basketball Beat Bangor, Advance to Colonial League Championship
Salisbury Falcons hand Bangor Slaters first loss of season with 72-68 win, advance to Colonial League Championship
The Salisbury boys basketball team went into the Colonial League semi-final game Tuesday night as the No. 4 seed, pitted against undefeated Bangor. Salisbury pulled out to a 21-9 lead early in the game. Bangor whittled down the lead, tying the score with a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds of the game, which sent the game into overtime.
Despite two offensive foul calls against Salisbury, they prevailed in overtime, 72-68, handing Bangor their first loss of the season . Salisbury will meet Saucon Valley, their rival in the Colonial League South Division, Friday night at Liberty High School for the Colonial League Championship.
