Salisbury Pays Off Renovated Basketball Courts at Laubach Park
Salisbury Township commissioners approve the final payment for the resurfacing of the basketball courts at Laubach Park.
Salisbury Township commissioners approved a final payment of $19,196 to Grace Industries for resurfacing and other work on the basketball courts at Laubach Park.
The payment, voted on at the Dec. 13 meeting, brings the total for the project to $64,835, under budget by about $1,100, according to Township Manager Randy Soriano.
"The work included a total resurfacing of the courts, which were in a deplorable condition that showed many cracking of the existing surface and ponding of water, rendering them unsafe to use," Soriano said.

The project also included surface color coating, line painting, seeding and mulching the perimeter, new basketball posts, backboards and rims, among other things, he said.
The project was approved as part of the 2011 budget and started late in 2011, finishing this year. The project now enters a maintenance phase of 18 months, Soriano said.
