Keys to Awesomeness: Aspiring to work in either the field of writing or international  relations, 16-year-old Erin Kloss decided to apply for the Widener University High School Leadership Award. As part of her application, Kloss wrote an essay about the benefits of a college education and aspects of leadership. She was one of 69 students chosen for the scholarship. According to the university, winners were chosen for qualities such as having the "character, courage and competencies to effect positive change."  Kloss was invited to a breakfast at the National Constitution Center and to attend a sponsored leadership event at Widener University next fall. If she chooses to attend Widener, Kloss will receive a $20,000 scholarship spread out over four years. Kloss participates in Model United Nations, debate team and band at Salisbury High School.
