Investigators seized over 10 kilograms of fentanyl, and the defendants now face potential life sentences after a multi-agency task force from Luzerne County and state police built the case.
3. HS GOLF: Pisarcik, Lakeland stay unbeaten in Division II (thetimes-tribune.com) — Scranton-area golf teams were busy Monday, with West Scranton setting a school-record low round in a Division I win over North Pocono and Scranton's boys and girls squads falling to strong Honesdale teams. Factoryville Mother and Daughter Killed in Interstate 81 Rollover Crash (audacy.com) — Two women from the Factoryville area died after their vehicle overturned Friday afternoon on Interstate 81 near the Clarks Summit interchange, with both later pronounced dead at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. State police in Dunmore are still investigating what caused the northbound car to lose control and leave the roadway.
