• City swimming pool survey complete, mayor says cost estimate increases to $1.7 million (oleanstar.com) — A Smethport-based company, PV Paving, is handling concrete repairs on Olean's splash pad, with work expected to be finished by November. At the same time, Olean officials are weighing whether to move ahead with expanded repairs to the aging War Veterans Park swimming pool, where new engineering findings have pushed the total estimated cost to about $1.7 million.
