ALLENTOWN, PA (IMMEDIATE RELEASE ) –Steel Fitness locations in Allentown and Bethlehem helped raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and Muscular Distrophy Association during the month of September.
During the week of 9/11, Steel Fitness Premier and Riverport raised over $6000 for the Wounded
Warrior Project through donations of enrollment fees and class fees. WAEB-AM & Bobby Gunther Walsh set up a live broadcast on Thursday, September 13th in the lobby at Steel Fitness Premier. During the week, WAEB and Bobby Gunther Walsh raised $41,388 for the entire charity
campaign.
On Saturday, September 22, Steel Fitness Premier staff and members participated in the 7th MDA Airplane Pull Challenge at Lehigh Valley Airport, where
teams of 15-20 people "pull" together to help find a cure for ALS. The Steel Fitness team pulled a Boeing 727 twelve feet and raised over $800 for MDA research. A total of six teams participated in the event and raised over
$22,000 for MDA research.
