Man Stole Backpacks at Dorney Park, Police Say

A 21-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with stealing several backpacks and their contents late last month at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, according to South Whitehall police.

Sterling Taylor faces three counts of theft by unlawful taking, three counts of conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and three counts of receiving stolen property, according to online court records.

The backpacks and their contents were valued at about $1,700, police said.

Taylor was charged June 27 and arraigned before District Judge Robert Halal, who set bail at $15,000, records show.
