Man Sought On Charges He Tried to Run Down Police Officer
An arrest warrant has been issued for William Lee Blake, who police say has family in the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey. Arrests and warrants do not indicate a conviction.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 33-year-old man on charges he tried to run down a South Whitehall police officer after officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the township.
South Whitehall police said William Lee Blake, who has family in the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault of a police officer, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, simple assault by physical menace, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and fleeing or attempting to elude police.
They said in a news release that he is "extremely dangerous."

According to South Whitehall police:
* Officers responded to a domestic complaint at 2:31 a.m. on Aug. 11 on Shiloh Court. The investigation indicated that Blake allegedly had tried to enter a home there during a confrontation with his girlfriend, using a lawn chair to smash the front windows. Police saw the damage to windows and saw Blake's car leave the area. The car eluded police who were in pursuit.

* At 3:30 a.m., an officer on foot attempted to get Blake's vehicle to stop in the 2700 block of Walbert Avenue, but Blake allegedly accelerated, attempting to hit the officer. There was a vehicle pursuit, but Blake again eluded officers.
