Online Fundraiser Started for Children of Jessica Padgett

An online fundraiser for the three children of Jessica Padgett, Whitehall Township woman allegedly shot and killed by her stepfather, has raised more than $6,800.

Padgett’s stepfather, Gregory R. Graf, 53, is accused of shooting her and burying her body on his and his mother’s Allen Township property. Graf will be facing charges of homicide, The Morning Call reported last week.

The fundraiser on GoFundMe.com, a crowdfunding platform which allows people to raise money for any number of events, was started by Shauna Wilkins, who knew Padgett for 20 years, for Padgett’s children, according to The Morning Call. 

More than 200 donations have been made and over $6,800 has been raised as of Monday afternoon. The fundraiser page states that only Padgett’s mother and husband will be able to make withdrawals from the account.
