Perkins Filed For Bankruptcy

Perkins & Marie Callender's Inc., which has the Perkins restaurant in South Whitehall, has filed for bankruptcy, according to this report.
The company, which owns or franchises about 600 restaurants, plans to close 65 restaurants and cut 2,500 jobs, the report says. There's no word on how the South Whitehall restaurant will be affected.
