On Saturday the 21st of May, the Toms River based mens acapella group The Oceanaires Chorus will kick off the Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix weekend.
The weekend celebrates the Points Rotary Groups 90th birthday and the annual Power Boat Race. It includes displays and test runs of race boats, and starts on Saturday May 21st at 11am at the corner of Arnold Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Point Beach. The Point Beach grand Prix race day in Sunday , May 22.
The award winning four part harmony Oceanaires will open the proceeding with a 30 minute performance singing songs people know and love, songs from Broadway and Tin Pan Alley, songs that bring happiness into the listeners day. The Oceanaires have been delighting audiences with their unique Barbershop harmony throughout Ocean County since 1957. Their performance will precede the Mayors address.
