The Stinger Rises at Dorney Park

Patch was in the neighborhood on Friday and took photos of the ride as it has been taking shape. Crews could be seen working on the ride.

The $10 million, 138-foot Stinger is an inverted shuttle rollercoaster that will open in 2012 at the park. Riders will sit face-to-face and get flipped six times as they go along 1,014 feet of overhead track, forward and backward, at speeds up to 55 mph.
