• NTSB Criticizes SEPTA Maintenance Practices (wordpress.com) — A federal investigation has concluded that poor maintenance of SEPTA's overhead wires led to a 2025 trolley incident in Springfield where a pantograph pierced a passenger car and injured four people. The NTSB also faulted PennDOT's oversight but noted SEPTA has since overhauled its catenary inspection program, after finding dozens of additional problem spots on the D Line.
