33 Conestoga Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Congratulations and good luck to these stellar students!

Thirty-three Conestoga High School students have been named National Merit Scholarship finalists according to the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.
Conestoga High School leads Pennsylvania with its 33 National Merit Semifinalists, the district said.
Roughly 16,000 students made it to the scholarship program's semifinalists across the country, representing less than one percent of high school seniors in the U.S.

The students earned this recognition through their performance on the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
These students will go on to compete for over 8,000 scholarships through the National Merit Corporation or its sponsoring organizations.

The students move on after submitting a detailed scholarship application that high lights their academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received.
Thirty-nine seniors have been recognized by the College Board as Commended students, as well, representing approximately the top four percent of graduating seniors nationwide.
Three students were named National Hispanic Scholars and are among the top PSAT takers of Hispanic descent, the district said.
All scholarship winners will be selected from the pool of roughly 15,000 finalists.
