44 Conestoga Student Named National Merit Semifinalists

Conestoga High School has announced that 44 of its students have been named National Merit Semifinalists.

The students are being recognized based on their performance on the 2013 PSAT.

Conestoga had the most National Merit Semifinalists in the state, the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District said.

There are about 16,000 semifinalists nationwide, the district said, which is less than 1 percent of all high school seniors.

The students will go on to compete for about 7,600 National Merit scholarships.
