4th Of July Fire Damages Tredyffrin Home
The fire caused nearly $80,000 in damage, the Berwyn Fire Company said.

TREDYFFRIN, PA – A fire broke out at a Tredyffrin Township home on the 4th of July, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage, according to the Berwyn Fire Company.
According to the fire company, the blaze broke out at about 2:42 p.m. when the company was called to the 600 block of Bair Road.
When crews arrived, they found fire showing in the second floor of the home and police confirmed all residents safely left the home, the fire company said.

While firefighters contained the blaze by about 3:10 p.m., they had to cut into the home's walls and ceilings to ensure no lingering flames were in the home, the fire company said.
A tree hit electrical wires in the neighborhood, causing a power outage before the fire, according to the fire company.

The Chester Fire County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the cause of the fire and determined that the fire was accidental and electrical in nature. The total fire loss is estimated at $78,000, the fire company said.
The fire company said no one was injured in the fire.
The Radnor, Paoli, and Valley Forge fire companies also responded to the scene.
