This one is for the true hip-hop heads, as it is the brainchild of Philly's own legendary Roots crew. And this year, they've tapped comedian Dave Chappelle to host the annual festival, now in its 10th year. Performers include Lil Uzi Vert, 2Chainz, Dirty Projectors, Brandy, 6lack. The Roots MC Blackthought will do a live mixtape show featuring rappers Fabolous and Jadakiss, as well. The Peach Music Festival
Thursday, July 19 through Sunday, July 22 – Montage Mountain Ski Resort, Scranton
Peach Fest is for all those rambling men and women, as it was started in 2012 by The Allman Brothers Band as NEPA's first Allman Brothers-inspired festival. In its sixth year, this festival is a massive jam session for all the blues, southern, folk, Americana, and other forms of rock and roll bands on the bill, keeping true to the idea of festival's founders. Performers include Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band, Gov’t Mule, Dickey Betts & His Band, Wake Up With Warren HaynesJoe Russo’s Almost Dead, and many, many more. It is a four-day festival after all.

Warped Tour
Monday, July 16 – Keybank Pavilion, Burgettstown
While not a Pennsylvania-only festival (hence the "tour" part), this traveling festival is coming to Pennsylvania yet again to serve up punk, metal, electronic, hardcore, and more to its massive fan base it's drawn in after nearly 25 years of touring the nation (and parts of Canada). The tour has been going on since 1995 and organizers said 2018 will be the last full cross-country iteration of Warped Tour. Big names on the tour include Taking Back Sunday, Sum 41, 3OH!3, Asking Alexandria, Simple Plan, Black Veil Brides and many more.

Musikfest
Thursday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 12 – SteelStacks, Bethlehem
The oldest on the list, Musikfest began in 1984 in the little town of Bethlehem (Pennsylvania, of course) and is still going strong after more than 30 years of music to the people of Eastern Pennsylvania. In addition to big names such as Kesha, Jason Mraz, Styx, Dierks Bentley, and Joan Jet and the Blackhearts, comedian Jim Gaffigan will perform at the 2018 festival. And in honor of 35 year of the festival, a special preview night show will be held Aug. 2. Called "Voodoo Threauxdown," the preview night will feature Louisiana-based acts such as Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Trombone Short, and more.
Migration Fest
Friday, July 27 through Saturday, July 28 – Mr. Smalls Funhouse, Millvale
Migration Fest is a much more niche event than the others, but if you are into heavy metal, it's the go-to festival to bang your head in Pennsylvania. Not for the faint of heart, bands playing this festival include Pyrolatrous, Tomb Mold, Scorched, Mutilation Rites, Abyss, and others with names so ominous you'll need to look at kitten photos online to lift up from the darkness.

XPoNential Music Festival
Friday, Jul7 27 through Sunday, July 29 – BB&T Pavilion/Wiggins Park, Camden, New Jersey

Marking a quarter century of the festival, this year's lineup has some big names. Headliners David Byrne (of the Talking Heads), Sylvan Esso, The War On Drugs, Sturgill Simpson, Preservation Hall Jazz Band will serve up tunes Friday and Saturday nights at BB&T Pavilion.
