$6K In Wheels Stolen From BMW Dealer: Tredyffrin Police Blotter
Police are investigating various incidents, including the use of counterfeit money, theft of wheels from a BMW dealership, and more.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Tredyffrin Township issued their most recent crime report on Monday, Feb. 12.
The report covers incidents that occurred in the township between Jan. 29 and Feb. 1o.
Some highlights include counterfeit money, theft of wheels from a BMW dealership, retail thefts, drugs, and more.

Police are also reminding residents to lock their vehicles at all times, even in their own driveways.
"Do not leave anything of value in the car, especially items containing personal information such as checkbooks, credit cards, passports and other identification," po;lice said.

COUNTERFEIT BILLS
Jan. 29 and Feb. 1, multiple stores in Gateway Shopping Center and Paoli CVS store – Store managers have reported actors trying to make purchases with counterfeit $100 bills. The cases are under investigation.
RETAIL THEFT
Jan. 30, Paoli Acme – Police charged Yermin Lee, 41, of Paoli, with retail theft after she attempted to leave the store without paying for items.
POSSESSION
Jan. 30, Route 202 – Officers charged Shawn Harrison, 18, of Philadelphia, with possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop.
POSSESSION
Feb. 1,900 block of W. Swedesford Road in Berwyn – While on patrol, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. The occupants – Jessica Marshall, 32, of State College, and Devan McGowan, 19, of Coburn – were charged with the following crimes: manufacturing/delivering/possession with the intent to sell a controlled substance; possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
THEFT
Feb. 6, BMW of Devon – Police responded to the report of stolen wheels from a new vehicle in the lot. The wheels are valued at $6,000. The case is under investigation.
POSSESSION
Feb. 9, Valley Forge Road – During a traffic stop, officers charged Jacob Brown, 20, of Spring City, with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
BIKE THEFT
Feb. 9, Paoli Train Station – The victim reported their Diamondback Clarity bicycle was stolen from the parking lot. The bike was valued at $371.
WALLET THEFT
Feb. 9, Vanguard in Malvern – The victim reported their wallet stolen. The wallet contained cash, two rings, credit cards and gift cards. The wallet was later turned in to Security, however it was empty. The case is under investigation.
POSSESSION
Feb. 10, Route 202 – During a traffic stop, officers charged Syair Bradley, 24, of Philadelphia, with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
RETAIL THEFT
Feb. 10, TJ Maxx in Gateway Shopping Center – Antonio Carranza-Corte, 25, of Norristown, was charged with the following; retail theft and receiving stolen property after he was observed concealing merchandise and destroying the security tags.
The following individuals were arrested for driving under the influence. The lab results and/or chemical breath testing have been officially verified and determined to be unfit to operate a motor vehicles safely on the roadway
- James Buysse, 62, of Paoli - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was .218 percent
- Shaun Curran, 29, of Philadelphia – BAC was .228 percent
- Ronald Czapla, 67, of Wayne – BAC was .130 percent
- Robert Matelwich, 52, of Radnor BAC was .137 percent
- Matthew Metanchuk, 29, of Oxford, PA – BAC was .132 percent
- Brianna Patterson, 23, of Collegeville – BAC was .178 percent
- Vera Skrydlyak, 38, of Norristown – BAC was .189 percent
