The Pioneers still have a long and promising season ahead! The challenges faced by both the team and the new coaching staff, who just came on board in June, are not unexpected. It is often a matter of simply starting over, with a period of adjustment as new plays; new philosophies and new styles are adapted. The coaches throw a new system at the players, which isn’t always easy for the offense, and they then work on refining it.

And the Pioneers have a lot of talent, as some of last week’s outstanding plays demonstrated: Receiver Peyton Jones caught a pass over the middle from quarterback Luca Marano and turned it into a long gain, setting up an eventual field goal for kicker Charlie McCarty! And who stayed in their seats when Nick Braendel picked off Springfield’s pass in the red zone preventing a potential touch down?!? The Pioneers know what they have to do, and their fans know they are going to do it. Be at Teamer Field for BLACKOUT NIGHT on Friday night to cheer our Conestoga Pioneers!
