TREDYFFRIN, PA — The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District (TESD) is seeking parents to help craft plans for the school system's redistricting.
TESD is preparing to open a new school — Bear Hill Elementary — in August 2027, requiring the district to redraw the geographic boundary lines that determine which elementary school each child attends.
The district is seeking parent and guardian volunteers to serve on the Redistricting Steering Committee, which will develop and recommend a redistricting plan. That proposal will be presented for the School Board's approval.
Applications are open through April 24.
The committee will have 10 parents/guardians, an administrative staff liaison, and a contracted external facilitator. School Board members and district staff will observe meetings when appropriate.

Although the Steering Committee will construct the redistricting plan, the school board must approve it. The district hopes to bring a proposal to the board by the end of this fall.
