Trespassers At Tredyffrin Construction Site Raise Concerns: Police

Several people have been reported entering the site where a park is being built.

CHESTERBROOK, PA — Tredyffrin Police are warning the public against entering the active construction site on Chase Road.

Construction of a park began a couple months ago at 355 Chase Rd. — the former home of the Picket Post facility in the Chesterbrook neighborhood. Township officials expect the work to be complete late this year.

Police say they've received several reports of people entering the construction site.

"While it may not look dangerous, active construction sites can contain serious hazards, including open excavations, heavy equipment, exposed utilities, unstable ground, sharp materials, and other unexpected dangers," police said.

"Parents, please take a few minutes to remind your children that construction sites are not playgrounds," police continued. "Exploring these areas may seem fun, but it can quickly become dangerous."

Respect all fencing, barriers and posted signs, police said.
