PAOLI, PA — Developers recently broke ground on an affordable housing complex for seniors in the Paoli section of Willistown.

Projected for completion in early 2028, Cornerstone at Willistown will have 57 apartments across three floors, according to developer Walters Apartments. The building will be open to ages 62 and up who fall below certain income thresholds.

The complex will be located at 27-29 Industrial Blvd.

The site plan calls for one-bedroom apartments with full-size washers and dryers and "fully equipped" kitchens, according to Walters. Amenities will include a multipurpose clubhouse with a fitness center, plus computer workstations.

Cornerstone at Willistown will be open to residents with incomes at or below 60 percent of the area median income. Rental rates are based on the renter's gross annual income, the developer says.

Walters is a New Jersey-based real estate owner, developer and property management company that specializes in income-restricted housing. Cornerstone at Willistown is the company's first development project in Pennsylvania.

"We are proud to bring high-quality housing to this charming community and to create lasting benefits for residents and the surrounding area," Joe Del Duca, affordable housing director at Walters, said in a statement. "Residents will be able to enjoy a safe and welcoming place with a long list of amenities and services."
