The game started later the usual, 6pm, to help accommodate the Rockhounds who had school activities. The late start combined with a downpour at the top of the 3rd inning really impacted the game in the end.
The Rockhounds started the first inning off ahead 3-1 by the end of the second inning they were leading by 4-1. The Storm, which has been a second half team all season got into gear in the Top of the forth inning with awesome base running. By the bottom of the 5th inning they were leading 5-4. The Rockhounds scored 2 and took the lead 6-5 as the 5th inning came to an end and so did the game.
Darkness stopped the teams from completing the final inning. This was a tough loss for the Storm after a very hard fought season.

Congratulations go out to the Rockhounds. They will now face the Rattlers in the final game of the playoffs which will determine the AAA 2011 winners.
