Annual Berwyn Victory Run 5k Set For May 19

BERWYN, PA – The Veterans Association of Easttown and Tredyffrin townships is again gearing up for its annual 5k run benefit. You can sign up now for the 17th Annual Victory Run as well as the Kids Fun Run to help the veterans organization.

The run will be held the morning of Saturday, May 19 in Berwyn.

Runners and walkers can register online here for $20. Registration is free for the Kids Fun Run.

You can also register by mail using this downloadable registration form with checks made payable to Berwyn Victory Run, PO Box 201, Berwyn, PA 19312.

Registering on race day will increase prices to $25.

The first 200 registrants will get a custom T-shirt.

Awards will be given out to the top three male and female runners. First place gets $250, second $100, and third $50.

Awards will also be given in the following age groups for both men and women:

• 14 and under
• 15-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+

Additional awards include Largest Family, Winning Corporate Team, and Biggest Neighborhood Participation. Neighborhood groups should indicate their neighborhood on the registration form."

"The race is attended by individuals of all ages and backgrounds making it a great way to get to know the local community and let them get to know you and your business," the event description reads. "Racers, joggers, walkers, and supporters, this is a great event to share with the local community."

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. on race day with the race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. in Berwyn's Johnson Park at Bridge and 1st avenues. A Kids Fun Run will be held at 9:15 a.m.

Following the race will be a free party with food and drink.
