Aqua PA To Close Devon State Road For Water Main Installation in Tredyffrin Township

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A six-week closure of Devon State Road awaits Tredyffrin Township motorists as Aqua PA installs water mains, according to PennDOT.

Aqua Pennsylvania is planning to close Devon State Road between Forest Hills Circle and Gwen Lane in Tredyffrin Township for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Tuesday. The closure that begins Nov. 16 will be in place on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Dec. 31.

During the closure, Devon State Road motorists will be directed to use Conestoga Road, Cassatt Road, Route 252 (Swedesford Road), and Valley Forge Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone, PennDOT said.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
