Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach/The Trident Group Collects Backpacks for Underprivileged Kids

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS® and The Trident Group is sponsoring their Ninth Annual Backpack Drive, from July 21st through July 25th, collecting backpacks filled with school supplies and other personal items. Pictured here preparing to kick-off this year’s project are (l to r) Kassie Erb, Fox & Roach Charities President and Michal Smith, Executive Director of Cradles to Crayons. “We are pleased to sponsor this annual project,” explains Erb, “to provide underprivileged children with these much-needed items for their upcoming school year.” Since 2006 we have collected 9,000 backpacks and supplies for homeless/foster care children in the tri-state.  In 2013, we had a new record of more than 3,000 backpacks donated, an increase of 84%. We are striving to beat last year’s record! 

Fox & Roach Charities, a charitable foundation sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, REALTORS®, is coordinating this project with the company’s sales associates and employees and partnering with Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons, (C2C), is a non-profit organization that provides, free of charge, the basic necessities to children living in low-income and homeless situations. These backpacks will be collected and distributed by Cradles to Crayons, to children in need throughout the Tri-State area. We also want to thank FlexBox Mobile Storage for donating large collection boxes. Donations, from the general public, of backpacks and school supplies are welcome and can be dropped off at your local Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach office.
