Berwyn Fire Co. Hosting St. Paddy's Day-March Madness Fundraiser

The Berwyn Fire Company is holding a fundraiser that is bringing to of the most popular events in March together: NCAA tournament basketball and St. Patrick's Day.

On Friday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day itself, the fire company is hosting the St Patrick's/March Madness fundraiser that will feature beer, food, music, and more.

The day-long event will be held at 30 Main, 660 Lancaster Ave., Berwyn. Festivities kick off at noon and NCAA basketball games come on at 1 p.m.

There will be bracket betting on basketball games, St. Patrick's Day themed food, and live music.

A percent of the proceeds throughout the day and evening will be donated to the fire company.

$20 gets you a St. Paddy's Day lunch buffet from noon to 4 p.m. on 30 Main's first floor, and another $20 can get you a two-hour open beer bucket from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Berwyn Fire Company member will be guest bar tending at special times during the afternoon and early evening with special fireman-themed drinks.

Attendees can win prizes throughout the day by partaking in the Bracket Basketball Game Challenge For Charity.

The second floor Saint Patrick's Day Dinner Buffet runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Ward Mclee (Trinity) Live Irish Music. The menu feature St. Paddy's Day staple such as corn beef, shepherd's pie, Guinness beer, and more.

The Silver Rain Band will play at 9 p.m. on the 30 Main's first floor. Dinner service with St Patty's Day dinner specials will be available on the first floor.
