Berwyn Fire Company Fire Fund Drive Now Underway
Less than 25 percent of the company's funding comes from taxes, so every donation helps keep emergency services ongoing.

For more than 120 years, the Berwyn Fire Company has worked to keep the Tredyffrin and Easttown areas safe, proving emergency services for fires, accidents, crimes, and more. And now you can repay them by donating to the company's Fire Fund Drive.
In a letter to the community, Berwyn Fire Company Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas responded to about 4,000 fire and EMS call combined last year, saying the company almost solely relies on donations to keep providing emergency services.
"The majority of our funding is generated through medical billing reimbursement and private donations from residents and businesses, not tax dollars," Brazunas said in his letter. "In fact less than 25 percent of our annual operating budget is derived from municipal funds."

Any donations made to the fire company are tax deductible, as the company is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
"Residents and business owners can donate to the Berwyn Fire Company by responding to the mailer that will arrive in your mailbox this month," Brazunas said. "You can also donate through our secure PayPal link that is located on the left side of our website home page."

Brazunas said donations will help the company move ahead with upcoming initiatives, too.
"There are many projects on the horizon for our organization. These include the replacement of our aging station that dates back to 1929, ongoing volunteer recruitment initiatives, and optimizing our response
times to the Chesterbrook and greater Glenhardie area portions of Tredyffrin," Brazunas said.
