Berwyn Native Starring in Field Hockey for Washington College

Berwyn native Maggie Cancelmo is doing big things in NCAA Division III field hockey at Washington College, recently completing her sophomore campaign for the team.

The sophomore midfielder started all 17 games played by the Shorewomen in 2016. She earned four points, including a goal and two assists throughout the season.

Her goal, the first of her college career, came against McDaniel on October 29.

In 34 career games, 33 starts, she has five points on one goal and three assists.

Washington, a Division III school based in Chestertown, Maryland. The team finished 6-11 for the season.

Cancelmo also played lacrosse at Bishop Shanahan, where she graduated in 2014.
