"Campus Sexual Assault: Tarnishing the Ivory Tower"

The number of reported sexual assaults on campus is rising exponentially. No college or university is immune. Nina Gurak, a junior at Wesleyan University, President of Students for Consent Communication, and a member of Wesleyan University’s Title IX Committee, will discuss the legal framework of Title IX in the context of this growing problem. She will also provide a student’s “insider” perspective on some of the factors contributing to this epidemic as well as university initiatives to combat and ameliorate this culture.
