Cats, Dogs Rescued From Chesterbrook Fire Scene
A dryer fire broke out at a home in Tredyffrin Township Tuesday morning and crews evacuated two cats and two dogs from the home.
CHESTERBOOK, PA – A pair of cats and a pair of dogs were safely evacuated from a home where a fire broke out Tuesday morning in Tredyffrin Township. Were it not for a working smoke detector, the fire could have been much worse.
According to the Berwyn Fire Company, a report of a dryer fire at a home on the unit block of Rampart Drive in Chesterbrook came in at about 6:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21.
When responders arrived, they found a fire in the home and evacuated the homeowner as well as two cats and two dogs.

Responders had the dryer fire under control by about 7 a.m., the fire company said.
No people or animals were injured in Monday's incident. Residents in the area were back in their homes by about 8 a.m.

The fire company said about $8,000 in damage was incurred by the fire.
The Chester County Fire Marshal's Officeis ruled the fire accidental.
The Paoli Fire Company, Malvern Fire Company, and Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company also responded to the scene.
