Christa Harp Krysztofiak joins the Board of Trustees of Delaware Valley Friends School, a Quaker, college preparatory school for students in grades 5-12 who have learning differences. Trustees provide guidance for achieving the school's mission of preparing its students for future work and study.
Christa is a current DVFS parent with 2 children in the Upper School (Annie ’17 and Ian ’19). She has over 10 years of fundraising experience in independent schools. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a BA in Psychology. She has a background in Human Resources Management with an emphasis on recruitment. Christa served as President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Center School and chaired their annual gala for 5 years. She is also active on the gala committee at DVFS. Christa has volunteered for The Hiway Theater as well as Friends of Hospice. When asked what drew her to become a DVFS Trustee, Christa responded, "I became interested in serving on the Board of Trustees because I sincerely believe in the mission of Delaware Valley Friends School to 'nurture the unique personal worth in each individual' and I have seen that at work within my own children. They have been afforded opportunities for growth and leadership at DV that would not have been available to them at any other school. The Quaker values that imbue all facets of the community are something that is central to the DV experience. In serving on the Board, I hope to contribute to the continued success of DVFS in its role as a leader in educating children with learning differences."
