Gusty Thunderstorms, Heavy Heat In Forecast Prompt Tredyffrin To Cancel Concert
Heat index values are expected to reach triple digits, with gusty thunderstorms mixed in.
TREDYFFRIN, PA — Tredyffrin Township's first summer concert has been canceled because of excessive heat and gusty thunderstorms in Thursday evening's forecast.
The 2026 Summer Concert Series was expected to open this evening with the Tim Williams Band at Wilson Farm Park. Township officials hope to reschedule the show for later this summer.
The next show is at 7 p.m. June 18, with Basic Cable performing. Here's a full schedule.

Heat index values — how hot it feels outside — could hit 100 degrees Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Showers and thunderstorms are also likely, starting late afternoon and extending into the evening.
A heat advisory for the region is in effect from 11 a.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. Friday, when heat index values up to 104 degrees are expected.
