Conestoga Boys Soccer Wins States For Second Straight Year

On Friday, Nov. 17, the boys clinched their second straight PIAA 4A State Championship. Congratulations, guys!

BERWYN, PA – It's official: the Conestoga Boys Soccer Team are the PIAA 4A State champions. Again.

The team clinched their second straight PIAA 4A State Championship on Friday, Nov. 17 in Hershey by defeating Hempfield 4-0.

Chris Donovan had a led the way by scoring four 'Stoga goals.

Donovan this year alone scored an 56 goals and nine hat tricks, bringing his high school career total to 81 goals.

Goalkeeper Luke Smith recorded his 13th shut out of the year.

As a team this year, Conestoga has scored an whopping 109 goals in 26 games and has not lost a match since the 2016 District 1 title game.

The team finished the year with an incredible 25-0-1 record.

They won the Central Athletic League Championship for the fourth straight year and the third straight year of being undefeated.

Conestoga then entered the District One playoffs as the number one seed and defeated Council Rock North in the finals to clinch the PIAA 4A District One Championship.

They finalized the perfect season by winning the State Championship for the fourth time in school’s history.
