Conestoga High School Filmmakers Invited to White House Festival

A group of students from Tredyffrin/Easttown School District traveled to Washington D.C. Friday for the Second Annual Film Festival.

Three student filmmakers from Conestoga High School earned a trip to Washington, D.C., Friday for the White House’s Second Annual Film Festival, CBS Philly reports.

Jason Kim, writer, director and editor of “A Student’s Dream,” was joined by his friends and co-stars Jack Lewis and Cameron Pratt, to participate in the event celebrating young artists and hosted by President Barack Obama. Their movie was one of 15 highlighted by the festival.

“A Student’s Dream” is a nine-minute short about a young man’s difficulty in school and how the intervention of a teacher inspires him to pursue his dreams. The message about the importance of great teachers earned the students the special invitation.
