Conestoga Grad Earns Honors For Basketball Skills At Washington College
Ali Grundy, Conestoga High School class of 2013, was named co-player of the week recently after a stellar game on Jan. 7.

Ali Grundy, former basketball star at Conestoga High School, hasn't quit working hard on the court, as she was recently named a player of the week in the Centennial Conference playing for her school, Washington College, the college said.
Grundy, a senior guard, was named the Centennial Conference Co-Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week ending on Jan. 8, the college said. She shares the honor with Ursinus' Lydia Konstanzer.
Grundy is the first Shorewoman to win the conference's weekly award since Erin Fitzgerald '14 won the award in November 2012, according to the college.

According to the college, Grundy scored a career-high 25 points on the strength of a personal-best seven three-pointers as the Shorewomen won at Muhlenberg for the first time in program history on Saturday, Jan. 7, 66-60.
Grundy earned 14 of her points in the second half as Washington College overcame a 13-point halftime deficit. Grundy made 7-of-10 three pointers, nabbed three rebounds, and also dished up three assists. Her final three point basket solidified the Shorewomen's lead for good at 57-54 just over two minutes left on the clock, according to the college.

The senior helped Washington hold Muhlenberg to just 18 points in the second half, the college said.
Grundy and Konstanzer are facing off at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 as Ursinus travels to the Chestertown, Maryland college to take on the Shorewomen.
