Conestoga Senior Honored as Best of the Class of 2011

Senior Ellen Piehl is among the best and brightest honored by a local TV station.

Conestoga High School Senior Ellen Piehl is among the Philadelphia area high school seniors selected for 6ABC's annual "Best of the Class" honors.

The half hour special which aired on Saturday, pays tribute to one senior from most of the high schools in the station's coverage area of Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

In a short vignette posted on the station website, Piehl tells 6ABC she is on the academic competition team and involved with peer tutoring middle schoolers. In the online interview, Piehl says she is planing to attend the University of Oxford "to study archaeology and anthropology."

According to 6ABC.com, each student will also be featured in one of  series of promotional announcements that will air on WPVI Saturdays at 7:30pm.  Piehl will be included in the promo airing on Saturday, July 30th according to the station's website.

Conestoga High School's graduation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7th at 7p.m. at Villanova University.
