Conestoga Student Wins Citizen Of The Month Award
Congratulations to Conestoga High School's Carson Lortz!

BERWYN, PA – A Conestoga High School student was recently presented with an award from his state senator for his character in and outside of the classroom.
Conestoga's Carson Lortz received the 26th Senatorial District Citizen of the Month Award from State Sen. Thomas McGarrigle on Dec. 6, according to the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.
The award is given to students who are "respectful in and out of the classroom environment, works to help his peers, and has the courage to do the right thing even when it is unpopular or difficult," the district said.

And Lortz has demonstrated these characteristics consistently over the past four years.
Outside of the classroom, Lortz enjoys playing tennis and has been part of Conestoga’s varsity team since 9th grade.

He is also involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Republicans Club and is one of the treasurers for the Conestoga Fishing Club.
In addition to these activities, Lortz serves as the Vice President of the senior class and is a member of National Honor Society.
Lortz demonstrates his leadership with this organization and enjoys being able to tutor other students in the Achievement Center, serving as a positive role model for his peers at Conestoga.
The Citizen of the Month Award was started in March 2015.
