On Saturday, April 26, 2014, seven DVFS upper school students participated in the 9th Annual Greater Philadelphia SeaPerch Challenge for high school teams, held at Drexel University. SeaPerch is an exciting, hands-on competition integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), encouraging teamwork, and engaging and inspiring young minds. Months of preparation concluded on Saturday, April 26 when the DVFS Dragon Dynamix team competed with 39 Philadelphia region high schools in the underwater challenge and poster presentation at Drexel University’s Daskalaskis Athletic Center. This was the second consecutive year for DVFS to participate in the Challenge, and the DV team finished 4th in the Pool Competition out of the 39 participating teams.
