Delaware Valley Friends School Senior Wins Wharton Esherick Museum Award

Twelve works by area students were chosen as finalists in the 2014 competition and show. A jury composed of museum staff and professional artists and art teachers selected the twelve finalists and chose the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, who will receive a cash award. Criteria for selection were creativity and craftsmanship.

The twelve finalist entries will be on display at The Wharton Esherick Museum from June 29 - August 31, 2014. All are welcome to attend the opening for Imprint on Sunday, June 29, 2-4pm (RSVP requested by June 25th to 610.644.5822, or information@whartonesherickmuseum.org).

All entries in the competition are entered in a "Viewers' Choice" Facebook competition, currently taking place on the museum's Facebook page (here).  The print with the most "likes" by June 10 will be awarded Viewers' Choice. 

Chase has been a part of the Arts Program at Delaware Valley Friends School since first joining Delaware Valley Friends School in 10th grade. He graduates next month and will attend an arts college in the fall.
