DEVON, PA --Devon Prep Senior Sean McGeehan of King of Prussia and Junior Jack Wagner of West Chester recently completed the KYW Newsradio Newstudies Reporter Program which is open to high school juniors and seniors in the tri-state area, the school said in a press release.
The program gives students the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a major market radio station.
McGeehan and Wagner spent several Saturdays at the KYW Newsradio studios in Philadelphia to learn newswriting, reporting, ethics and interviewing skills from station managers, editors, reporters, anchors and guest speakers.

Then they researched, wrote and recorded news stories about their school and community which later aired on KYW 1060AM.
McGeehan’s story was about Devon Prep’s “Up for a Cause,” an all-night fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Wagner produced a story about Devon Prep’s new student literary magazine.
