Downed Tree Halts Service on Paoli/Thorndale Line

All service on SEPTA’s Paoli/Thorndale Line was suspended Monday night after a tree brought down wires, SEPTA said.

The tree or trees were down at SEPTA’s Devon station, the transit authority said.

As of 7 p.m., SEPTA had no timeline for service restoration.

  • Update: As of 10 p.m. Monday, all service remained suspended with no timeline for restoration. “All train service remains suspended due to down trees in the overhead wires,” SEPTA Tweeted.

Angry commuters who were stranded took to social media Monday night to express themselves.
