E. Central Avenue Project Gets Underway In Tredyffrin

The project will add bikes lanes, ramps, and crosswalks to East Central Avenue to help improve pedestrian and cyclist transportation.

BERYWN, PA – The East Central Avenue project that is adding more features to make the road increasingly pedestrian and cyclist friendly is underway in Tredyffrin Township. The project began Monday, May 1 and will see overnight intermittent lane closures on East Central Avenue for two weeks.

The project will last through 2017, according to the township.

Crews will be working on various part of the project throughout the year.

The construction includes the south sidewalk on East Central Avenue from Route 252 to the Station Square Office Complex; reducing the road by 5 feet on both sides of the roadway to add five-foot bike lanes on both sides of East Central Avenue; and updating ramps and crosswalks at various intersections along East Central Avenue, according to the township.
