Easttown Library Hosting Electrifying Open House With Franklin Institute

This free interactive event will give kids first hand knowledge of how electricity works.

The Easttown Library and Information Center is hosing an electrifying event Thursday, as it will welcome experts from the Franklin Center who will teach kids the intricacies of electricity.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the library will hold the Electricity Open House for kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

The event is free to the public thanks to donations from Waste Management and First Priority Bank through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), the library said.

At the event, kids will get hands-on lessons about electricity with the help of Franklin Institute experts.
Some electrifying interactive displays include Van de Graaff generator, plasma balls, jumping rings, and the Tesla coil.

The Easttown Library is located at 720 First Ave., Berwyn.
