An Easttown Township man accused of taking videos of women without their consent has been sentenced.

Freeman Rodgers Cottrell, 46, of Slyvan Lane, was sentenced to 23 months in prison plus four years of probation on June 1, according to court documents.

Cottrell was arrested June 26, 2015, and charged with multiple counts of invasion of privacy and intercepting communications, after his ex-fiancé discovered a series of videos on his computer depicted the two of them having sex, police said.

The ex-fiancé, who shared a residence with Cottrell at the time she found the videos, said she had never agreed to be filmed, and did not know they were being recorded.

According to criminal complaint from the Easttown Police Department, the ex-fiancé found the videos while looking on Cottrell’s computer for evidence that he had been cheating on her with another woman.
