Easttown Supervisors Appoint Karl Romberger As Supervisor: Report
After Democrat Brandon Adams was unable to take the seat he won, the supervisors put out a call for applications to fill the seat.

EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA – After Democrat Brandon Adams was unable to take the seat on the Easttown Township Board of Supervisors following his victory in the November general election, the township needed to fill the seat.
And on Monday evening the supervisors appointed attorney Karl Romberger, a Republican, to the seat, according to Daily Local News.
The seat appointment is a two-year term that expires Dec. 31, 2019.

The Easttown Township Democrats lobbied the supervisors to appoint Michael Wacey, a Democrat who earned the third-most votes in November, coming in just behind Adams and Republican Betsy Fadem.
Wacey said since he was the third-highest vote earner, it was logical to appoint him to the seat, per the voters will.

An online petition urging the supervisors to appoint Wacey garnered 287 signatures, short of its 500-signature goal, was presented at Monday's meeting, but Romberger ended up the appointee.
The supervisors tied 2-2 on Wacey's appointment, then Romberger's vote came in 3-1 with Fadem casting the sole no vote, Daily Local News reports.
Romberger, according to his employer Sweet, Stevens, Katz, And Williams LLP, he is a specialist in school law.
